Shakespeare Summer Camp

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company has run its theatre summer camp for more than 20 years, now at the Otto M. Budig Theater in downtown Cincinnati. Campers work with CSC teaching artists on acting, movement and Shakespeare text, staging scenes that they present at a free Friday afternoon showcase for family and friends. The 2026 program offered six one-week sessions grouped by age: high school weeks in June on Shakespeare's romantic comedies and on storytelling, middle school weeks in July on crafting Shakespeare's worlds and his greatest adventures, and elementary weeks in late July. Camp runs 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, with a shorter core-hours option for elementary campers, and each day includes a masterclass in topics such as stage combat, acting technique or backstage crafts. Two named scholarship funds help students for whom cost is a barrier.

Camp runs 9:00 AM-5:00 PM daily; elementary campers may attend core hours only, 10:30 AM-3:30 PM. Free camp showcase each Friday at 4:00 PM. Roughly 15-20 students per group with 1-3 teaching artists.
