School of Rock in Montclair

School of Rock Montclair is a performance-based music school at 125 Valley Road in Montclair, New Jersey, between Walnut Street and Williams Street and across from the Girl Scouts building. It offers the full program ladder: Little Wing for ages 4-5, Rookies for ages 6-7, Rock 101 for ages 8-13, the Performance Program for ages 8-18, Songwriting for age 12 and over, and an Adult Program for students 18 and up. Most programs pair a weekly private lesson on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard or vocals with a weekly group band rehearsal, leading to live shows at local venues. Students can audition for the House Band and the national AllStars tour. The school ran a 2026 summer camp season promoted with an early-registration discount code.
