School of Rock East Brunswick

School of Rock East Brunswick is located in the Lexington Downs Shopping Center off Cranbury Road and has operated since 2012 under general manager Joe Biondi. Its performance-based approach pairs a weekly private lesson with a weekly group band rehearsal. Little Wing serves ages 4-5 and Rookies ages 6-7 through group lessons using simplified instruments; Rock 101 covers ages 8-13; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) assigns students songs and parts matched to their ability before staging shows at local venues. Songwriting starts at age 12 and an Adult Program serves students 18 and over. Guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals are taught at all levels, many by former students of the school. An audition-based House Band performs additional shows.
