About this camp
School of Rock Brooklyn is temporarily operating out of Battalion Studios at 175 6th St in Park Slope. Its performance-based programs combine one weekly private lesson with one weekly group band rehearsal. Little Wing introduces ages 4-5 to rhythm, melody and song structure through play; Rookies covers ages 6-7; Rock 101 (ages 8-13) teaches beginners with simplified classic rock songs; and the Performance Program (ages 8-18) assigns tailored songs and parts leading to live shows at Brooklyn venues every few months. Songwriting is offered from age 12, an Adult Program serves students 18 and over, and School of Rock Remote provides online one-on-one instruction. Faculty teach guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano and vocals. Performance students may audition for the national AllStars summer tour.
