Sandy Hill Camp

Sandy Hill Camp and Retreat Center sits on 211 acres of forest, fields and beach at the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay in North East, Maryland, roughly halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Founded in 1995 and family owned and operated, the licensed, ACA-accredited camp runs one-week (five-night) and two-week (twelve-night) overnight sessions for boys and girls ages 8 to 16, plus a Counselor-in-Training program and other service and leadership tracks for ages 15 and up. Campers choose their own activity schedule from options including ziplining, horseback riding, sailing, waterskiing and wakeboarding. Tuition covers all activities except the camper store account and fees for waterski and horseback lessons. Outside the summer season the property hosts large group retreats of 75 to 600 guests from March through early June and mid-August through November.
