Sanborn Western Camps

Sanborn Western Camps has run outdoor summer programs in the Colorado Rockies since 1948. The organization operates Big Spring Ranch for boys and High Trails Ranch for girls, both for ages 9 to 16, plus a coed Junior program for children in 2nd through 4th grade (ages 8-10). The camps sit at 8,700 feet on more than 6,000 acres of pine forest, meadow and rocky bluffs about 35 miles west of Colorado Springs. Activities include horseback riding, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, rock climbing, ropes courses, mountain biking, creative arts and 14,000-foot peak climbs, along with service trips for older campers. Campers and staff come from more than 40 states and 10 countries. Sanborn Western Camps is part of the Colorado Outdoor Education Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
