Parlando School for the Arts

Parlando School of Musical Arts is a non-profit community music and performing arts school in Boulder, Colorado, based at the Dairy Arts Center. It offers private lessons, group classes and camps for all instruments, ages and abilities, both in person and online, alongside a recording studio, chamber music and extensive community outreach in schools and care facilities. Its musical theatre program stages multiple productions each summer; the 2026 season included SpongeBob SquarePants The Broadway Musical in June, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR in June, and Every Color, a newly commissioned musical for grades 1-4, in July. Parlando also produces the New Musical Project festival of new work, with 2026 rehearsals and performances running July 20 to August 2 and roles open to actors ages 10 and up. Participation fees are on a sliding scale with tuition assistance available.

Productions are cast by audition and rehearsed in the weeks before performance dates at the Dairy Arts Center. New Musical Project is open to actors ages 10 and up. An Audition Prep Package of three 45-minute coachings is offered for $145. Private lessons, group classes and camps are available in person in Boulder or online.
