Camp North Star of Maine

Camp North Star is a coed overnight summer camp at 200 Verrill Road in Poland Spring, Maine, roughly 30 minutes from Portland. The 200-acre property sits on its own 55-acre private lake. Sessions run two, three, four, five or seven weeks, with tuition tiered by grade level for rising 2nd-5th graders and rising 6th-11th graders. The camp operates a screen-free environment and highlights nutrition and safety, off-campus trip days, a leadership training program and a CIT program for rising 12th graders, who receive a tuition discount. Optional add-ons include an equestrian program and golf course fees. Camp North Star is accredited by the American Camp Association, uses CampMinder for enrollment and family accounts, and offers a virtual tour, camp map and video library on its website.

Rates are tiered by grade level, with separate pricing for rising 2nd-5th graders and rising 6th-11th graders. Early enrollment rates are valid through September 15. Fees including deposit are fully refundable through January 1, 2027, with no refunds after that date. Payment is by deposit at enrollment followed by even monthly installments through June 1, or payment in full at registration. Leadership Training and CIT programs are offered for older campers.
