About this camp
Blue Mountain Ranch is a family-owned sleepaway camp near Florissant, Colorado, in the shadow of Pikes Peak, founded in 1946 by Coach Bill Allen and his wife Dorothy and now run by the third generation of the family. It serves boys and girls ages 7 to 17 and emphasizes unplugging, exploring the Rockies and building self-reliance and friendships. Campers hike and climb mountains, ride horses, gather for campfires and take part in a broad range of outdoor activities on a property operated under a U.S. Forest Service special use permit. Summer 2026 offers three main sessions of 16 to 22 days, single-week options, two-session combinations and a full-summer option, each with a Parent's Day. The camp is ACA accredited and also hosts retreats and events outside the camper season.
