Calgary, AB - Vertigo Theatre continues its 2018-2019 season with a the North American Premiere of DRACULA: THE BLOODY TRUTH, by Le Navet Bete & John Nicholson, November 10-December 9, 2018. Performance times are 7:30pm Tuesdays-Saturdays, 2:00pm Sundays, with additional matinees 2:00pm Saturdays. Professor Abraham Van Helsing leaps off the pages of Dracula and onto the stage to tell you, dear theatre-goer: Bram Stoker's novel had it all wrong! At last, Van Helsing hopes to set the record straight and bring the 'truth' of the legendary vampire and his terrifying story to light...even if he only has three amateur actors to help him do it! Van Helsing and his troupe dive into 40 different characters on a breakneck journey from the Transylvanian mountains to the seaside town of Whitby. This North American premiere will be a farcical side-splitter for family audiences and vampire lovers alike.

"The original production of DRACULA: THE BLOODY TRUTH is still touring the U.K., playing to sold out houses and garnering rave reviews. This marks the first time that Le Navet Bete has licensed one of their original works for a production from another company, and Vertigo has assembled an extraordinary (and hilarious) team of Calgary theatre artists to bring it to life."

DRACULA: THE BLOODY TRUTH stars Chris Hunt as Actor 1, Stafford Perry as Actor 2, Julie Orton as Actor 3, and Natascha Girgis as Actor 4.

DRACULA: THE BLOODY TRUTH is directed by Craig Hall, Assistant Director Ellen Close, Set Designer Scott Reid, Costume Designer Deitra Kalyn, Lighting Designer Anton de Groot, Composer/Sound Designer Andrew Blizzard, Assistant Costume Designer Elizabeth Wellwood, Assistant Lighting Designer Lisa Floyd, Stage Manager Michael Howard, Assistant Stage Manager Justin Born, Apprentice Stage Manager Claire Bolton, with Fight Director Karl Sine, Assistant Fight Director Zakk Macdonald and Voice/Dialect Coach Jane Macfarlane.
