A workshop production of the new rock musical, Siren's Den will be presented at Under St. Mark's on April 3rd and 4th at 7:30pm. A portion of the show was previously seen in the 2014 West Village Musical Theater Festival. The musical is a cautionary tale about the emptiness of fame, the blindness of love, and the healing powers of writing through the darkest times.

Siren's Den is a dark, modern twist on the myth of the Greek sirens. Here, the turbulent sea is the music industry, and the siren is Skylar Cole, a seductive indie rock singer in NYC. Skylar's biggest fan is aspiring singer, Remy Morgan, who finds that spending time with Skylar fuels her own songwriting. Soon, Remy finds herself drawn into a world of drugs, lust and empty promises, where some idols don't deserve pedestals and some dreams come with dire consequences. Will Remy find success? Or will she fall prey to Skylar's siren song forever?

The part staged reading, part workshop will feature 12 powerhouse rock singing performers, full stage lighting, choreography, and over 20 original songs with music and lyrics by Rori Nogee (Star of Showgirls, the Musical! and writer of Down This Road and Fragments.)

The cast includes Joyah Spangler as Remy, Marlain Angelides as Skylar, *Chris Gleim as Logan, *Adam R. Kaster as Garrett, Amanda Berry as Jessie, Seth Blum as Bar Manager/Kurtis, and Musa Hitomi, Andreas Wyder, Jake Haynie, Rosie Barker, Emily Dennis and Marcus Desion as the Vultures. Stage directions read by Antwain Lewis.

The creative team is comprised of writer/producer Rori Nogee (book, music and lyrics), director Marishka S. Phillips, musical director Ricky Romano, choreographer William Bailey, stage manager Aaron Watson, musical arrangers Frank Perri and Jaden Nogee, and lighting designer James Prez Carter.
