Award-winning singer-songwriter Tom Andersen will debut his new cabaret show, 'My Favorite Things,' on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. at the Bradstan Country Hotel in White Lake, N.Y.

The golden-toned tenor will include Broadway showtunes such as 'A Cockeyed Optimist' from 'South Pacific' and 'There's a Fine, Fine Line' from 'Avenue Q,' as well as a mix of pop and country songs. This will mark Andersen's 10th appearance in the hotel's Nancy LaMott Room – a record for any male vocalist appearing there. He will be accompanied by Bistro Award-winning musical director Ian Herman, whose Broadway credits include 'Grease' and 'Swing!'

Andersen has played Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall and the Kennedy Center, and headlined at Tavern on the Green, Maxim's, the Russian Tea Room, the Firebird Café and the Algonquin. He has won five MAC Awards and five Backstage Bistro Awards. As a songwriter, he is best-known for his AIDS ballad, 'Yard Sale,' which has been performed around the world and recorded by Australian pop and stage star David Campbell. And John Davidson recorded his song 'Every Night I Sleep With an Angel.'

Andersen was also featured in the Off-Broadway show 'Cabariety' and starred in the long-running San Francisco revue 'Beach Blanket Babylon.'

The Bradstan Country Hotel is located at 1561 Rte. 17B in White Lake, N.Y. Tickets are $40. For reservations, call (845) 583-4114.
