The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to announce "Life on Earth, The Songs of Craig Carnelia." The evening will feature the work of the acclaimed composer, running for three performances only: Sundays, March 2 & 9 at 9:30PM, and Monday, March 17 at 6PM.

Featured in the show are songs from Carnelia's musicals, including Working, Is There Life After High School?, Sweet Smell of Success and others. The cast is comprised of four of Broadway's young talents: Carey Anderson (Mamma Mia), D.B. Bonds (Make Me a Song), Lisa Brescia (Wicked) and Evan Harrington (Avenue Q). The evening is directed by the composer.

Craig Carnella also wrote the score of Imaginary Friends with Marvin Hamlisch. Hamlisch and Carnelia received Drama Desk and Tony Award nominations for their Sweet Smell of Success score, and Carnelia received a Drama Desk nomination for his lyrics for Imaginary Friends. Off-Broadway, he wrote the music and lyrics for Three Postcards at Playwrights Horizons. Other songwriting honors include the Johnny Mercer Award as "Emerging American Songwriter," the first annual Gilman and Gonzalez-Falla Musical Theatre Award and the prestigious Kleban Award for distinguished lyric writing.
