On Wednesday, June 26 at 8PM, Tainted Cabaret, "A Burlesque of Broadway," premieres at The Slipper Room. The show is a new monthly burlesque cabaret with a musical theater twist. Shaking up the burlesque and theater scene in NYC, Tainted Cabaret is the brainchild of Üla Überbusen and Teddy Turnaround, two actors turned burlesque performers, who created a show that brings together everything they love about Broadway camp and Lower East Side sleaze in a glorious display of nudity and laughter. In here, life is beautiful! Prepare yourself for a deliciously naughty show, filled with bawdy boys and buxom broads singing and stripping all for your enjoyment. Relax, have a cocktail and nestle into that naughty sweet spot between Broadway and Burlesque, where sexy, campy and theatrical meet.
The show's first night is at the legendary Slipper Room and features a cast of superstars from the worlds of burlesque, dance and downtown theater. Co-Hosted by ULA UBERBUSEN, delighting audiences with her ukulele, and The Glitter Furball TEDDY TURNAROUND the June 26 show also features NY Neo-Burlesque Legend, Miss Exotic World & Star of Cabaret New Burlesque Julie Atlas Muz, Miss Coney Island 2013 MISS CHERRY DELIGHT, 6 Feet 5 Inches of Dorky Ambition and Burlesque Hall of Fame 2013 "Most Comedic" Winner MR GORGEOUS and The Girl With The Thirty-Four and a Half Inch Inseam LEGS MALONE.
TAINTED CABARET plays at THE SLIPPER ROOM (167 Orchard St, NYC), with the premier show taking place on Wednesday, June 6 at 8PM.
