In this exclusive one-night only new show, "RISE UP: THE THEATER SONGS OF Neil Berg," Mr. Berg, and friends, will perform theater songs from his musicals of the past, present, and future. This dynamic evening will feature songs from "The Prince and the Pauper," "The 12," "The Man Who Would Be King," "Tim and Scrooge," and his upcoming Broadway musical, "Grumpy Old Men." Performing and hosting will be Berg's longtime collaborator, Broadway star Rob Evan (Jekyll and Hyde, The Prince and the Pauper, Trans Siberian Orchestra), along with current Elphaba from Wicked, Mandy Gonzalez (Wicked, In The Heights), and special guest, Academy Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), who will re-create his eleven o'clock song from "Grumpy Old Men." The cast also includes Rita Harvey (Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof), Lawrence Clayton (Dreamgirls, Bells are Ringing, The Civil War), Sophia Ramos (VH1's Best Undiscovered Artist, featured vocalist with Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden), and William Michals, who is currently playing the role of Emil de Beque in "South Pacific" at Lincoln Center. Berg will also co-host and play piano.

Neil Berg is the composer/lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical "The Prince and the Pauper," which ran for two years at the Lambs Theater in New York City. The New York Times raved "(Berg's) music soars on Angel's wings." He is also the composer of "Tim and Scrooge," which ran in NYC at the Queens Theater in the Park, for which the NY Times again raved "Neil Berg's score is beguiling, and consistently engaging!" His latest musical, "The 12," which he wrote with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, opened at the Broward Center in West Palm Beach, FL, this past April to great acclaim, starring Jeremy Kushnier and Ron Bohmer. Berg's musical, "The Man Who Would Be King," was directed last year by TONY Award winner Brian Yorkey (writer of "Next to Normal") at the Village Theater in Issaquah, WA and released on CD featuring Marc Kudisch and Brian D'Arcy James. His Broadway-bound musical, "Grumpy Old Men," is scheduled to open in Canada next year.

Berg has become one of the most successful, popular and sought after performers on the current musical theater landscape. Berg performs concerts across the world to rave reviews and sell-out crowds in over 120 concert venues and performing arts centers each year. His last official cabaret performance was at Joe's Pub in 2005, and before that in 1995, when he won the Bistro Award for Best Musical for his debut evening of theater songs entitled "Asylum in the Night" at Don't Tell Mama's. He is thrilled to make his Cabaret return at Feinstein's.

Neil Berg and his national touring Broadway concert revue "Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway," co-produced with business partner Adam Friedson, is the number one booked Broadway touring concert in the United States, playing in over 125 cities last year alone. His show has been voted the number one rated entertainment in many PAC's across the country, including Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL. His songs have been performed by such stars as George Hearn, Len Cariou, Alice Ripley, Brian D'Arcy James, F. Murray Abraham, Marc Kudisch, Capathia Jenkins, Ken Page, Robert Cuccioli, Vicki Lewis, Rob Evan, Mandy Gonzalez, and this years TONY nominees Christiane Noll and Bobby Steggert. He has worked with many Broadway legends including Betty Buckley, Michael Crawford, Rita Moreno, Ben Vereen, and Charles Grodin.

On June 3, 2010, Mr. Berg produced, hosted, and performed a sold-out "Night of Broadway Stars" at Lincoln Center's Rose Hall, raising over one million dollars for Covenant House, which helps provide shelter and care for homeless teens in NYC. He also hosted similar events over the years at The Borgata in Atlantic City, The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, and at the NJPAC in Newark. Among the many other charity fund-raisers he has been involved with, Berg has also produced many events for BC/EFA, including, with Rob Evan, the concert version of "Chess" at the John Houseman Theater. For his charitable efforts, Neil was awarded the Distinguished Citizen Award this past May, along with his wife, Broadway star Rita Harvey, and Academy Award-winning actress Ellen Burstyn.

Neil's music and lyrics have been produced and released on CD by Jay Records, and his sheet music is published by Hal Leonard in many anthologies, including "The Best of Off-Broadway Songbook," "The Broadway Bass Anthology," and "The Prince and the Pauper."

For over 15 years, Mr. Berg has been a teacher of musical theater, giving workshops in Manhattan and various universities and performing arts centers around the country. He is co-owner of St. Joseph's Regional HS Theater Camp, a musical theater academy in Montvale, NJ, which enrolls over 200 theater students a year. He has been a guest lecturer at his Alma Mater, Binghamton University, and a guest faculty member in the theater department of Rockland Community College.

Neil also recently co-produced the 20-Year Anniversary Celebration of Maltby and Shire's award-winning revue '"Closer Than Ever" at The Queens Theater in the Park, and Bristol Riverside Theater in PA, including original stars Lynne Wintersteller and Sally Mayes. Plans are underway to bring it into NYC this fall.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will play the following schedule: Sunday at 8:30 PM. This show has General Admission seating for $40, and Premium seats for $60. There is a $25 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required.
