Photo Flash: Billy Stritch Returns to the Birdland Theater Stage!

Acclaimed singer/pianist Billy Stritch returned to the Birdland Theater stage on Wednesday, October 17, with two shows. The Grammy-nominated performer entertained with a selection of jazz, popular standards and bossa nova by a range of songwriters including Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen, Michel Legrand and the Bergmans, and Brazilian composers Antonio Carlos Jobim and Ivan Lins.
Billy is one of Birdland's most frequent performers, having performed most recently at the legendary club with Marilyn Maye, Max von Essen, and Natalie Douglas and later this year he will perform in the 9th annual edition of "A Swinging Birdland Christmas" with Jim Caruso and Klea Blackhurst. He can also seen every Monday night as the musical director for Jim Caruso's Cast Party, the long-running open mic night, now in its 17th year at the club.
