2007 Tony and Drama Desk nominee Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde the Musical) returned to Broadway at Birdland on Monday, August 20th for her final concert celebrating the release of her debut country album entitled "Longing for a Place Already Gone."
The popular Broadway actress originated the role of Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, and played Glinda in Wicked. As a child, she originated the role of Tina Denmark in Ruthless, The Musical! receiving an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical and a Drama Desk nomination. She can also be seen in the movie Dreamgirls.
The 7PM show was presented Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com as part of the weekly series of Sunday and Monday night concerts featuring top Broadway stars and theatre song writers at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street, NYC.
