Paul Chamlin and Rochelle Breyer Chamlin present "Life Is..." at The Metropolitan Room on Wednesday, November 4th at 7pm.

Popular cabaret couple "The Chamlins" are bringing their new show "Life Is..." to the Metropolitan Room for one night only, November 4th at 7pm.

Life Is...is a tuneful, irreverent, and ultimately uplifting journey through life's many dimensions. This rich theme allows Paul and Rochelle to explore a wide range of songs that touch on everything from joy and optimism to romance, heartbreak, ambition, disappointment, determination, and resilience. The show is directed by the celebrated cabaret performer Teresa Fischer, and features Tom Hubbard on Bass.

Over the past 10 years, Paul and Rochelle have presented shows exploring such topics as the sea, traveling, women songwriters from Tin Pan Alley, and their own relationship. More recently their tribute to Jule Style delighted audiences and received enthusiastic reviews. The couple met in 2005 in the Catskills during a professional singing gig. From those unlikely romantic beginnings evolved an inspired musical partnership, and in the last several years they've become a familiar and welcome presence on the New York cabaret scene.

Paul Chamlin has established his reputation for over 30 years as a Musical Director, coach, singer, and repertoire specialist. As MD for numerous Friar Club shows and benefits, he has accompanied such Broadway legends as Len Cariou, Anita Gillette, Lee Roy Reams, Beth Fowler, and Penny Fuller. Rochelle Breyer Chamlin comes from a classical singing background, performing as a professional soloist in opera and oratorio. They've combined their considerable talents to create supremely entertaining shows that feature witty banter, beautiful harmonizing, eclectic songs choices, and unique chemistry.
