The performance will feature familiar songs from Everett's monthly sold-out showcase at Joe's Pub with her band The Tender Moments (Bridget Everett, Vocals; Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, Bass; Carmine Covelli, Drums; Mike Jackson, Guitar; Matt Ray, Piano) as well as new songs written with Shaiman, Wittman and Horovitz.

Fresh off her sold out runs in the UK at London's Soho Theatre, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where she was given rave reviews, Lady Rizo is gearing up for the long awaited release of her debut album on November 19, 2013. Join Lady Rizo as she celebrates her CD release shows at Joe's Pub on Nov. 20th and 21st. Though it is rumored that she is the product of a night of unrestrained indulgence between Peggy Lee, Mel Brooks, Nina Simone, Dean Martin and Janis Joplin the truth is Lady Rizo was raised by theatrical gypsies with the highest show business ethics. When she almost looked of age she rebelled against the comforting, unscrubbed, rustic life and set out for a world of harsh metropolitan sophisticates. The 'Cabaret Superstar' (New York Magazine), comedienne and chanteuse revives the genre by creating vintage arrangements & theatrical explorations of pop songs from every decade. Lady Rizo (nee Amelia Zirin-Brown) co-created the cult caburlesque spectacular Lady Rizo & the Assettes in 2005.

Inspired by the economic depression, the same sort of fearful political clime that led to the rise of the Third Reich, the downtown provacatuese, Tammy Faye Starlite, will portay the sublimely Teutonic, glamorously decadent Velvet Underground chanteuse, Nico (nee Christa Paffgen) in a dark, Weimar-cum Warhol Kabaret Konzert, and will sing some of Nico's most beloved lieder, such as "Femme Fatale," All Tomorrow's Parties," "I'll Be Your Mirror" as well as Nico's classic covers of such classic tunes as David Bowie's "Heroes, Rogers and Hart's "My Funny Valentine, "Bob Dylan's "I'll Keep It With Mine," The Doors' "The End, and she'll finish with a rousing finale of "Deutschland Uber Alles" (in German, of course). It will be a crystalline multi-media nacht to remember, with dreamlike reminicenses about Lou Reed (and Jews in general), Andy Warhol and Alain Delon. Nico was, and remains, a heroin(e) and emlem for these dark days of civil unrest and our inherent fascination with the sybaritic self-desctruction and the willful deconstruction of beauty. Directed by Michael Schiralli; musical director is Keith Hartel (True Love, the Richard Lloyd group).

A top-to-bottom renovation was completed in 2011, leading to improved sightlines, expanded seating capacity and a new menu from acclaimed Chef Andrew Carmellini. @joespub
