A veteran of the new musical theatre scene, he and his collaborator, Kimberly Grigsby have chosen the evening's songs with an eye towards material they find "fresh, accessible, tuneful and theatrical." Frank Rizzo of Variety said of his Drama Desk nominated solo performance in SONGS FROM AN UNMADE BED: "Winther makes it look all so easy and relaxed. Never cloying or cute, he offers just the right tone. That he sings like a dream helps, too."
