The Metropolitan Room's April schedule includes new shows from the headliners Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye and Julie Wilson. Plus Jamie deRoy, Lennie Watts and Kim Nalley will be back for encores; Larry Gatlin will be joined by his brothers; and, the veteran performers Marcus Simeone, Sharon McNight, and Julie Reyburn will be stirring things up at The Metropolitan Room in their first engagements.

No foolin' -- it's the celebrated cabaret impresario Jamie deRoy who delights her legions of fans with another edition of the multi MAC Award-winning variety show "Jamie DeRoy & friends."  Tuesday April 1 at 7:30PM. (Cover $25)

MAC winner Julie Reyburn starts a once-a-month stand (the last Thursday through May).  Thursdays March 27, April 24 & May 29, all at 10PM.

Broadway, cabaret and television favorite Karen Mason plays 8 shows over two weeks -- Wednesday thru Saturday April 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Thursday thru Sunday April 10, 11, 12 & 13 -- all at 7:30PM except Sunday April 13 at 7PM.

The multi-Mac Award-winning Lennie Watts brings back by popular demand his jazz and jiving assessment of Barry Manilow's output from '73 to '83.  "Manilow '73 to '83" plays on two consecutive Saturdays April 5 and 12, both at 10PM (Cover $20)

In her fourth Metropolitan Room engagement in over a year, the Marvelous Marilyn Maye will shock the pants off her adoring fans when she stirs up trouble in a late-night show that celebrates her 80th birthday on April 10.  "It's My Party… and I'll Sing if I Want To" performs 7 times over two weeks -- April 8 & 9 at 7:30PM, April 11 at 10PM, and April 13, 14, 15, 16, all at 9:30PM.  (Cover $30)

Cabaret's class act Julie Wilson debuts a brand new show in seven performances over two weeks, Thursday through Saturday April 17, 18, 19, and Thursday through Sunday April 24, 25, 26, 27 -- all at 7:30PM except Sunday April 27 at 7PM.  (Cover $ 25)

Sultry San Francisco jazz singer Kim Nalley returns in a new show.  Her critically acclaimed "The Heart of Lady Day" (according to Downbeat Magazine she positively "embodies the spirit" of Billie Holiday) made hearts race in her August debut here.  Friday/Saturday April 18 & 19, both at 10PM. (Cover $ 20)

Tony nominee Sharon McKnight treats us to a two-night tease on Friday/Saturday April 25 & 26, both at 10PM.

The country and musical theatre crossover star Larry Gatlin lures his country music lovin' brothers to his New York turf for a night of musical high jinks.  Gatlin was last here in May when he shared the stage with his friends James Naughton, Nicolette Hart and Dee Hoty.  Expect another evening filled with surprises on Tuesday April 29 at 9:30PM.

He's been known to wear his heart on his sleeve, this time it's the name of his show.  Look for Marcus Simeone in "The Heart," the first Sunday of every month, from April through August.  Sunday April 6 gets things pumping.  All at 7PM.
