It would be hard to find anyone in the desert who has not seen Marge and Larry Harris singing somewhere. Maybe in a production at Palm Canyon Theater or at an open mic, piano bar, country club, charity event, or even the Elks Lodge. Known by many as "The Music Lovers" they are perhaps the closest thing to "Steve and Edie" that we locals have. Marge is usually the big, brassy, belter, while Larry commands the role of balladeer, but together they can take on some beautiful duets complete with harmonies.

You will have the opportunity to see Marge and Larry perform their latest show entitled "The Music Of Our Lives" as part of the popular Sundays In Summer Series presented by Les Michaels at The Arthur Newman Theater in the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert on Sunday, October 14th at 2 PM. Joining them is local musical director and pianist Joel Baker, along with George Cebra on bass and Elvio Ditta on drums. You can be sure there will be lots of Broadway showstoppers, some popular hits from the past, and some comedy material thrown in for good measure.

Tickets for "The Music Of Our Lives" are $10 and sold at the door when the box office opens at 1 PM at the Arthur Newman Theater located at 73-750 Catalina Way in Palm Desert. For more information you may call 760-325-2731.
