MEAN GIRLS Star Kate Rockwell To Present Solo Concert BACK TO MY ROOTS At The Loft At City Winery

Mean Girls star Kate Rockwell just announced her upcoming solo concert, Back To My Roots, based off her solo album of the same name, at The Loft at City Winery on April 22.

The show will take you back to the "second Golden-Age" of Broadway musicals. Follow Kate back to the shows that inspired her to leave the sane, stable world of "normal" professions behind and follow her passion to the Great White (Blonde) Way. Featuring songs by Cy Coleman, Frank Wildhorn, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, William Finn and more.

Rockwell originated the role of Karen Smith, "the dumbest girl you'll ever meet", in Mean Girls, earning a Drama Desk nomination and a Helen Hayes nomination for her work. She made her Broadway debut In Legally Blonde as Margot, which marked her first of many Broadway dumb blondes, including Sherrie in Rock of Ages and creating the role of Skylar in Bring It On: The Musical. Her debut album, Back To My Roots, was released in the Spring of 2018 by Broadway Records, and is available on iTunes and Amazon.

Kate Rockwell: Back To My Roots plays Monday, April 22nd at The Loft at City Winery at 8:00pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. For tickets, check out: https://citywinery.com/theloft/kate-rockwell-back-to-my-roots-at-the-loft-4-22.html.
