Lemley Stars as Hayworth in 'The Heat is On!' in NJ

This Saturday, July 14th at 8 PM, on the Jersey Shore's Ocean County College in Tom's River, Quinn Lemley will star in "The Heat is On! A Life in Concert Celebrating Rita Hayworth," written and directed by Carter Inskeep.

"The Heat is On!" is described in press notes as "an explosive theatrical concert based on the life of movie star, Rita Hayworth. The show examines the life, loves and career of one of Hollywood's most electrifying sirens. Starring Quinn Lemley who bears more than a passing resemblance to the Love Goddess...The show explores Miss Hayworth's infamous marriages to Orson Welles and Prince Aly Khan; her turbulent relationship with movie mogul Harry Cohn; her ascent into Hollywood stardom in the '40's; and her final struggle with Alzheimer's."

Miss Lemley takes-you-by the hand with Hayworth as she invites you into the crevasses of her heart to share the flip-side of her life through monologue, Hayworth's music ('Long Ago and Far Away,' 'Put the Blame On Mame,' 'I'm Old Fashioned,' 'Zip,' The Lady Is A Tramp,' 'Bewitched' . . .) backed by an electrifying Band, dance and five costume changes."

For tickets, call the Fine Arts Center at 732.255.0500. Advance tickets are $17.  The box office is open daily from 10:00 - 1:00 pm.  Tickets are $20.00 at the door on the day of the show. The box office opens at 7 PM.  Doors open at 7:30 the day of  the show.
