LORI AND THE BOYS Returns to Cavern Club Theater in Silverlake, Now thru 9/15
Lori Donato, internationally-known singer, pianist, entertainer and recording artist, stars in the return engagement of her hit show LORI AND THE BOYS at The Cavern Club Theater. This "Saucy New Cabertainment" starring Tod Macofsky, Perry Ojeda, and Jay Winger is devised and directed by Rob Bowers, whose exceptional talent includes not only staging the ensemble piece, but also creating some spectacular vocal arrangements.
The show follows Lori's journey as she discovers a "home" in theworld of Gay Piano Bars and savoring the music and friendships that changed her life.
Featuring dazzling ensemble numbers, solos, duets, and trios with music and lyricsof more than fifty songwriters including Gershwin, Carmichael, Mercer, Hatch, Bernstein, Allison, Kern, Schwartz, and Arlen, representing Musical Theatre, the American Songbook, Jazz Classics, and Pop Hits.
