The Gossip Factory will present the World Premiere of 4F: The New Class at The Laurie Beechman Theater. Previews begin September 13, with opening night slated for September 20.

"This socio-political pop culture-infused angst-ridden theatrical spectacle of epic proportions was created and directed by the Company," describe press notes, "4F: The New Class takes audiences on an emotional journey back to the glorious days of book reports and bus rides, hall passes and history, puberty and, of course, P.E. Watch as the kids of Halliburton Middle School face all the trials and tribulations of middle class bourgeois life and the struggle to achieve the American Dream of today's youth. These all-too familiar faces rush through their day to the patriotic rhythm of their blue-blooded hearts as they confront issues of racism, sexism, draft-dodging, pro-life rallies, homophobia and more. It's kind of like a 'Saved by the Bell' episode gone horribly awry."

The Gossip Factory, a theatre collective, was created to explore all aspects of contemporary performance. Influenced by historical conventions, pop-culture and social themes, The Gossip Factory sets out to both enlighten and entertain. 4F: The New Class has been work-shopped at venues including Galapagos, Renaissance Arts Artists' Salon and The Renegade Children's Theater. The members are: Andrew P. Ballard, Ariella Beth Bowden, Leigh Diveris, Sarah Elliott, Keith Foster, Natasha Gavin, Brian McCarthy and Ryan McWilliams. For more info visit www.thegossipfactory.org.
