Ever wonder what it's like to have an extraordinary career? Writer Catie Lazarus did too, so she created an utterly addictive, candid, fun talk show about work. Each month, Lazarus interviews phenomenal folks about their work. Past guests include Rachel Maddow, Barney Frank, Gloria Steinem, Tom Colicchio, Reggie Watts, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and more.

"Catie Lazarus has the rare ability to be both hilarious and empathic at the same time. So when she interviews people, the audience really gets sucked into their lives (in a good way) but they also split their seams laughing," said Stephen Dubner, co-creator of Freakonomics. In kind, The New Yorker describes Lazarus's distinct style, "her line of inquiry is decidedly unorthodox."

The evening of February 19 will also feature illustrations by Michael Arthur and music from Beyondo & Freestyle Love Supreme's Jelly Donut & Shockwave, and more surprises!

The Employee of the Month Show with Catie Lazarus is taped for podcast. Catch her in conversation here: http://www.employeeofthemonthshow.com.

Catie Lazarus is a writer and talk show host in residence at Joe's Pub. Gothamist calls her "One of the Finest Live Talk Show Hosts in New York City," and Lewis Black said she is, "more brilliant than she will ever know." Lazarus has hosted multiple web series, some animated or starring puppets; curated numerous panels for the 92nd Sty Y, Tribeca Film Festival, Women in Film, JCC, and WGA-East. Before creating EOTM, Lazarus hosted several critically acclaimed live shows, including The Chosen One at UCB, Fresh Meat at Comix and Ars Nova, and Stand for Peace, an annual comedy benefit for Seeds of Peace. Lazarus lives to interview people, but is most proud of her interviews with Miss Piggy, Grover, Elmo and Triumph the Insult Dog.

She also types for a living. ECNY (Excellence in Comedy in New York) selected her as "Best Comedy Writer" and she has contributed drivel to The New York Times Magazine, Sundance Channel, Marie-Claire, Cosmo, Slate, Funny or Die and Out Magazine, which made her interview with the former New York Times head honcho Jill Abramson go viral. On occasion, Lazarus does voice overs and storytelling on shows like The Moth, RISK, Slideshow Goshko, The LIAR Show, and Asscat at UCB.
