By:

Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to the intimate Manhattan venue 54 Below tonight, May 18th to continue an official residence for 2015.

Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham (Gentlemen's Guide..., The Heidi Chronichles), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Bring It On) Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish) make their Broadway Big Band debuts, joing a starry list of performers. The 9:30 PM concert, helmed by director Max Friedman, also featurs returning guest vocalists Nick Blaemire (Found, Godspell), Tony Award Nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange, The Book of Mormon), Jason Gotay (Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark, Bring It On), Julia Mattison (Godspell), and more to be announced! Friedman and Rosen co-produce.

Tickets are priced at $30-$70 plus a $25 food/beverage minimum and are available now. Visit 54Below.com for more information and to purchase tickets.

Join Broadway bandleader Charlie Rosen (Honeymoon In Vegas, One Man, Two Guvnors) for an evening that puts classic showtunes on display, sung by the best and brightest of Broadway's young generation of leading performers, in the timeless tradition of Big Band. A full sized jazz orchestra composed of 17 musicians play Rosen's re-imagined arrangements of an eclectic mix of tunes from Broadway's past, present, and beyond!

Charlie Rosen is a recent Drama Desk Nominee for his contributions to the orchestration for Jason Robert Brown's Honeymoon In Vegas and can currently be heard playing in the orchestra for Kander & Ebb's The Visit at The Lyceum Theatre. Rosen previously composed the score for Roundabout Theater Company's Cyrano de Bergerac and served as musical director and bassist for the onstage band in One Man, Two Guvnors on Broadway. His Broadway credits also include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and 13. With Friedman, he co-created the original Sondheim jazz revue The Bluest Ink. His debut EP, "Monet Sabel & The Charlie Rosen Big Band," is now available on iTunes. A single version of Rosen's arrangement of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" (featuring Hannah Elless, Monet Julia Sabel, and Alysha Umpress), a Broadway Big Band fan favorite, is available as a free download on SoundCloud. Upcoming: Joe Iconis's Be More Chill for Two River Theater and Nick Blaemire's A Little More Alive for Barrington Stage. Instagram/Twitter: @CrosenMusic
