International Emmy-nominated performance artist Callum Grant will present BROKEN PLANET SHOW in New York City for a one-night-only premiere performance at Brooklyn Comedy Collective on May 28 at 7:00 p.m.
Described as “part absurd cabaret, part apocalypse party, part audience-fuelled fever dream,” the production combines clown performance, comedy, live-looped music, and audience interaction in an evolving theatrical event shaped nightly by the crowd.
The premise imagines God returning from holiday to discover humanity descending into division, leading to what the production describes as “only one solution: a Broken Planet Show.”
Throughout the performance, Grant portrays multiple characters while incorporating live music, improvisation, interactive sequences, and surreal theatrical imagery including giant dancing babies, ritualistic comedy, and moments of emotional sincerity.
Grant previously spent nearly two decades performing internationally as a leading performer, writer, and creative collaborator with Blue Man Group. He currently serves as a creative lead and performer for the Banana Ball drumline.
The production previously appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received praise for its audience interactivity and improvisational style. The show’s New York engagement precedes its upcoming return to Edinburgh.
