The Green Room 42 will present the fourth installment of Matt Koplik’s Broadway Breakdown with The (Slightly Early) Tony Awards Show on Monday, June 1 at 7:00pm.
The Tony Awards happen one night a year—but true fans think about them year-round. So we’re celebrating early.
If you’ve ever spiraled on YouTube watching Betty Buckley belt her face off in Cats or you just live for the chaos of awards season, your night has arrived with The (Slightly Early) Tony Awards Show.
Part live episode taping of the popular podcast Broadway Breakdown, part musical cabaret, this signature Breakdown hybrid covers it all: iconic, controversial winners, competitive trivia with Broadway prizes, and a foolproof guide to predicting this year’s victors.
With a three-piece band led by Kent Dennis, host Matt Koplik invites the theatre fan in all of us to indulge our nerdiest, most opinionated selves. Because awards shows are messy and occasionally unhinged. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Matt Koplik’s Broadway Breakdown plays The Green Room 42, on the 4th floor of Yotel at 570 10th Avenue NYC, on Monday, June 1 at 7:00pm.
