BROADWAY ABROAD Will Come To The Laurie Beechman Theatre
Lucie Tassel and Kendra Foster McBride lead a cast performing Broadway hits in their native languages on April 22.
After two runs at the Green Room, Broadway Abroad will return for its third edition, continuing its mission of celebrating international voices through the music of Broadway. This new installment will take place at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on April 22nd at 7pm.
In Broadway Abroad, a cast of International Artists comes together to perform songs from the Broadway canon in their native languages. The result is an experience that highlights both the universality of these stories and the unique cultural perspectives each performer brings. Familiar songs are reimagined through different linguistic and cultural lenses, offering audiences a fresh way to connect with material they may already know and love.
The creative team behind Broadway Abroad includes director and producer Lucie Tassel from France and music director Kendra Foster McBride from the United Kingdom.
In addition to their roles on the creative team, both Lucie Tassel and Kendra Foster McBride will also take the stage as performers. They are joined by a diverse cast representing countries from around the world. The performers include Mar Di Meglio from Argentina, Chani Bentabou from Israel, Nina Schwartz from the Czech Republic, Gabrielle Besse from France, Maggie Lega from Italy, Tal Marcello Zamir from Israel, and Simon Lee from Korea.
