Told through first-person interviews, stylized recreations and archival footage, the series examines a homicide and reveals a unique object with emotional power that is associated with the murder. Each episode highlights an individual crime and is illuminated by someone whose life was forever changed by the event and who feels a deep emotional connection to the item linked to their loved one.
