In recognition of the ongoing support provided by the family of actor, director, comedian, writer, and Tisch alumnus Billy Crystal, Tisch Dean Allyson Green announced this week that Tisch School of the Arts will officially rename its theater at 111 Second Avenue the "Jack Crystal Theater," in memory of Crystal's father, jazz impresario Jack Crystal.

As part of TODAY's new interview series "Chat with Matt," Matt Lauer sat down on a PARK BENCH with the Tony award-winning performer to talk about his upcoming performance at the New York Comedy festival, and the honor for his father. Watch the video:

Crystal appeared on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE from 1984 to 1985. He has also starred in The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Analyze This, Monster's Inc, Analyze That, Monster's University, and more. His Broadway credits include the Tony-winning 700 Sundays, which he also wrote.
