Two Clausura 2016 LIGA MX Semifinalists to Be Determined on NBC Universo

NBCDeportes announced the schedule for the León and Pachuca second leg against their respective rivals in the Liga MX Clausura 2016 quarterfinals, airing on both NBC UNIVERSO and NBCDeportes digital platforms.

Saturday, May 14

León vs. Morelia, 10PM/9C/7P

León ended the regular season in third place and Morelia in sixth. The last time the two teams faced each other in the playoffs was in Apertura 2013 quaterfinals, a game that ended 7-3 in favor of León. Depending on the results of the first quarterfinal game in Morelia, where the Monarcas have lost only once all season, León will have to make the most of its own home field advantage to secure its ticket to the semifinals. Morelia comes into the Liguilla having won six of its last seven matches.

Pachuca vs. Santos, 9PM/8C/6P

Second-ranked Pachuca and seventh-place Santos have a long history in the playoff rounds, including a quarterfinal, semifinal and one final. The Guerreros won their battle for the championship in Clausura 2001, but Pachuca eliminated Santos from the competition in the Clausura 2007 quarterfinals and the 2014 Clausura 2014 semifinals. Diego Alonso's squad was undefeated at home during the regular season, another factor that will make these 90 minutes on the field in Hidalgo crucial for both teams following game one at Territorio Santos Modelo field.
