The Chicago Shorts Festival Calls for Entries

By:

If you attend college in Illinois, grab your camera and start shooting. Students in Wisconsin, Indiana, Australia, Israel - or anywhere in the world, you're invited too. Robert Morris University Illinois, 401 S. State Street in Chicago, invites all college students to participate in The Chicago Shorts Festival. We are encouraging would-be filmmakers to create short films that will be screened at the Gene Siskel Film Center on State Street in Chicago on April 22, 2015.

All entries will go through a jurying process by industry professionals to determine the best student work. In addition to the fame that will accompany the winning entry, there will be $1,000 cash prize for the first place winner in each category of Animation, Comedy/Parody, Documentary, Dramatic Narrative and Experimental. Second place will receive a one-year subscription to Adobe's Creative Cloud, and third place will receive an Adobe backpack. It is free to enter and free to attend the screening. Submissions will be accepted through March 15, 2015.

Students are directed to begin the application process through the Festival website: http://chicagoshortsfestival.org/ and can email questions to info(at)chicagoshortsfestival(dot)org.
