The Biggest Loser Resort -the standard in personalized wellness, and tailored fitness and nutrition based on the hit NBC series "The Biggest Loser" -- is dedicating 2012 as the official "Year of You." The reason is due to so many people struggle with weight-related issues for the primary reason that they have been unable to put themselves first. Whether because of financial, physical or emotional challenges, a major stumbling block for overweight individuals tends to be the same – unbalanced lifestyles.

Hence, the "Year of You" at The Biggest Loser Resort is licensed by NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group and Reveille LLC.

To kick off the "Year of You," The Biggest Loser Resort has launched the "Year of You Video Contest" on its Facebook page, which will give 10 lucky winners a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend four weeks at the renowned Biggest Loser Resort in Malibu, Calif. and really change their lives for the better.

Contestants can enter by logging on to www.facebook.com/biggestloserresort to upload a video that conveys what it would mean to them to be selected. The video entry period begins at 12 noon (ET) on November 29, 2011 and ends at 12 noon (ET) on December 31, 2011 during which time the sponsor shall select and post up to 150 video submissions which the public will vote on to determine the finalists. Afterwards, a voting period will commence January 1, 2012 at 12 noon (ET) and end at 12 noon (ET) on January 15, 2012, whereby The Biggest Loser Resort online community will select the finalists. The 10 winners will then be selected from among the finalists by The Biggest Loser Resort judges on January 31, 2012.

"We can't begin to tell you how important it is for people struggling with their weight to find time for themselves," said Olivia Ward and her sister Hannah Curlee, winner of "The Biggest Loser" season 11 and the runnerup, respectively. "Had it not been for 'The Biggest Loser' show and Resort, I never would have learned to put myself first," added Sarah Nitta, "The Biggest Loser" season 11 contestant and now a staff member at The Biggest Loser Resort. "'The Year of You Video Contest' provides an amazing opportunity for 10 lucky winners to spend time focusing on themselves, regain a balanced lifestyle and lose unwanted weight," she added.

"The Biggest Loser Resort program has helped thousands of people improve the quality of their lives," said co-founder Tami Clark. "Our program works because we've identified a methodology that is engaging on a social level as well as educational and empowering on an individual level.
