The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Sony Pictures Television Studios is eyeing a reboot of the award-winning NBC comedy series, Mad About You.

Sources have confirmed that the studio has been part of loose talks for a possible eighth season of the Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt led-comedy.

According to sources, no officials deals are currently in place. There is no network attached to the project. Stars Reiser and Hunt would be slated to return for the revival.

According to the THR, the revival of the series would be "set in the present day and follow Paul and Jamie in the wake of their 17-year-old daughter, Mabel's college acceptance."

Reiser openly spoke of a potential revival earlier this year, saying, "If we can find the story to tell, and anybody's interested, I'd be open to it."

Mad About You was a breakout hit for NBC, running for seven seasons and earning numerous Emmy nominations and several wins, it also earned Golden and Peabody Award awards.
