Seth Rogen's Point Grey in Talks with Lionsgate for First-Look Deal

Lionsgate is in discussions with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for a first-look deal with their Point Grey Pictures, according to Variety.

The first-look deal would be for both film and television. Rogen and Goldberg launched Point Grey in 2011 with the film 50/50. Many of Point Grey's films star Rogen, including This is the End, Neighbors, and Sausage Party. They specialize in comedy production, with other movies including The Disaster Artist and Blockers.

Point Grey is named after Vancouver's Point Grey Secondary School, where Rogen and Goldberg first met. James Weaver has also been a producing partner with the company.

Point Grey's next film is Flarsky, starring Rogen as an unemployed journalist who decides to pursue his childhood crush who is now one of the most powerful women on the planet, played by Charlize Theron. Flarksy will be released by Lionsgate on February 8th. Their next film, Good Boys, will be released by Universal on August 16, 2019 and will star Jacob Tremblay.

On the television front, Point Grey has produced AMC's Preacher, Hulu's Future Man, and Amazon's upcoming superhero series The Boys.
