Sergei Polunin Dances for American Audiences in Bolshoi Ballet's GISELLE April 8

After years performing with famed ballet companies around the world, ballet's bad boy is crossing over into Hollywood -- as only Baryshnikov has done -- with appearances in Jennifer Lawrence's Red Sparrow, the acclaimed Murder on the Orient Express and the in-production film The Nutcracker alongside Keira Knightly and Morgan Freeman. But before he becomes known as an international movie star, Fathom Events is giving American audiences the opportunity to see Sergei do what he does best: dance. On April 8, Fathom will screen the Bolshoi Ballet's production of Giselle straight from Moscow in hundreds of movie theaters nationwide, featuring Sergei as Albrecht.

The world-renowned dance company Bolshoi Ballet shows "dance as a vital force" (The New York Times) in their heart-stopping performance of "Giselle," hitting big screens nationwide on Sunday, April 8 for a one-day event. Captured live from Moscow's legendary Bolshoi Theatre, featuring a rare guest performance from world-renowned superstar Sergei Polunin, the production is part of the 2017-18 Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema Series, presented by Fathom Events, BY Experience and Pathe? Live.

Prima ballerina Svetlana Zakharova personifies classical ballet's ultimate ballerina role, alongside the sensational Sergei Polunin as Albrecht, in this chilling, yet luminous ballet that continues to spellbind audiences for over 170 years at the Bolshoi.

The performance is presented by Fathom Events, BY Experience and Pathe? Live on Sunday, April 8, 2018; 12:55 p.m. local time

Tickets for Bolshoi's "Giselle" can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 350 select movie theaters through Fathom's Digital Broadcast Network (DBN).
