Rafael is First Housemate Evicted from Telemundo's GRAN HERMANO

Last Sunday evening was full of emotions on TELEMUNDO's new reality show "Gran Hermano" (Big Brother) when host Giselle Blondet revealed that Rafael Caparroso was the first evicted housemate that the audience voted for. The 26 year-old Colombian, will no longer be part of the competition, while Jommart and Iselis will continue living together with the rest of the housemates. During this second week, all participants will nominate each other again in the "Confesionario" (Confessional) and will be at risk of eviction.

Once their votes are announced during the "Gala de Nominación" (Nomination Gala) airing tomorrow, Wednesday, January 20, viewers can vote via phone, text, Facebook and on Telemundo.com/GranHermano. Results will be announced on Sunday, January 24 during the live broadcast of the "Gala de Expulsión" (Eviction Gala).

The housemates remaining in the "Gran Hermano" house are:

On TELEMUNDO's "Gran Hermano," 14 strangers (seven women and seven men) entered a house equipped with more than 50 cameras and 90 microphones that will capture their every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During a period of three months isolated from the outside world with no access to cell phones, television, friends or family, in this new place, the unexpected and unusual can happen, sparkling stories of love, hate and friendship as well as moments of tension and arguments among the housemates as the days pass and they nominate each other for eviction.

TELEMUNDO viewers can enjoy an extensive "Gran Hermano" programming all week long, including the "Gala de Expulsion" (Expulsion Galas) every Sunday at 8pm/7c/5p. Each Wednesday at 7pm/6c, Giselle Blondet presents "Las Galas de Nominaciones" (Nomination Galas), where she will review the highlights of the week and will reveal the nominated housemates for the audience to vote. Also, the network will air "Gran Hermano: La Novela" (Gran Hermano: The Novela - Weeknights at 12am/11pm CT), a daily show that summarizes developments inside the house every 24 hours.

"Gran Hermano," produced by Endemol Shine Latino, the Hispanic division of Endemol Shine North America, and licensed exclusively to TELEMUNDO, is based on the international hit television format Big Brother, the original reality show, which debuted in Holland in 1999. Since then, the Big Brother format has been produced in 41 countries, broadcast in over 110, and watched by more than 2 billion viewers around the world.
