Oscar-Winner Robert Port To Direct WWII Thriller PEACE with Alexander Ludwig ImageEnderby Entertainment today announced that Academy Award-winning director Robert Port will write and direct the World War II action thriller PEACE, based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Richard Bausch. The film will star Alexander Ludwig and Sam Keeley and is being produced by Enderby's Rick Dugdale (AN ORDINARY MAN, INTRIGO TRILOGY) and by Richard Bullock. Maury Povich and Ludwig will serve as Executive Producers, which reunites Povich and Port after their Oscar-winning film "Twin Towers." Principal photography is set to commence later this month in British Columbia.

In the story, four American soldiers set out on the grueling ascent of an Italian mountainside in the closing days of WWII, haunted by their evil sergeant's cold-blooded murder of a young woman and with an old Italian man of uncertain loyalties as their guide.

"We are thrilled to work with Robert on this exciting adaptation of Peace. WWII films are always a fascinating lens of history, and this morality tale is now more relevant than ever." said Enderby's Rick Dugdale.

"When I created MoPo Entertainment it was with the intent of doing projects like PEACE. I can't wait for my audience and fans of the cinema everywhere to see this film. I'm thrilled Robert and Rick brought this to me, it's an important movie for us all and glad to be a part of it." said Maury Povich.

Port is best known for directing "Twin Towers," the 2003 Academy Award-winner for Best Documentary, Short Subject. He is also a writer and producer on numerous TV dramas, including "Training Day" and "Numb3rs."

Ludwig is a series regular on the popular History Channel show "Vikings." He has also recently been seen in the action drama series "Swerve," and in the features LONE SURVIVOR, THE HUNGER GAMES and BLACKWAY opposite Anthony Hopkins and Julia Stiles.

Keeley is known for roles in a number of recent features, including THE CURED, MEGAN LEAVEY, THE SIEGE OF JADOTVILLE, IN THE HEART OF THE SEA and BURNT.

Port is repped by WME and Rain Management Group. Ludwig is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment, and Keeley is repped by UTA and by 42 in the UK. UTA Independent Film Group is repping worldwide rights.
