MISSION CONTROL will not be moving forward.

According to Deadline, NBC has opted not to air its planned miseason comedy MISSION CONTROL, hailing from Universal TV and Gary Sanchez, and starrying Krysten Ritter.

In the series, Ritter played "a tough but brilliant aerospace engineer leading a team of NASA scientists at the cutting edge of 1960s space exploration in a male-dominated field."

The network reportedly axed the series due to poor testing, and an already-packed comedy lineup.

David Hornsby (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) penned the script and executive produced the Universal Television comedy alongside Gary Sanchez Productions' Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.

Ritter's recent big screen projects include Asthma, the Veronica Mars movie, Big Eyes and Search Party. Her past TV credits include Don't Trust the B-- in Apartment 23, the TV movie Assistance, Gravity, Breaking Bad, Woke Up Dead, 'Til Death, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars and more.

She also appeared off-Broadway in 2006's All This Intimacy.
