LGBTQ Film Festival Comes to The Hanover Theatre Next Month ImageqFLIX Worcester: New England's LGBTQ Film Festival presents a series of films that seek to educate and entertain at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, Thursday, September 14 through Sunday, September 17. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 18 at 10 a.m.

The festival starts Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. reception followed by a 7:30 p.m. showing of the film "Something Like Summer." Friday's films include "Fair Haven" at 5 p.m., "Brotherly Love" at 7:15 p.m. and "Kept Boy" at 9:30 p.m. Saturday features "The Freedom to Marry" at 11 a.m., "B&B" at 1:15 p.m., "Open" at 3:30 p.m., "Search Engines" at 5:45 p.m., "Thirsty" at 8 p.m. and "Grinder" at 10 p.m. The festival concludes Sunday with a mix of short films at 11 a.m., "Feminista" at 1:15 p.m., "Play the Devil" at 3:30 p.m. and "Russian Doll" at 5:45 p.m. Awards will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by the film "Handsome Devil" at 8 p.m. and an after-party at 10 p.m.

Seating for the films is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Tickets for individual films start at $10. All-access badges for all films and parties can be purchased for $89. Discounts are available to students and seniors. POLLSTAR consistently ranks The Hanover Theatre as one of the Top Theatres in the World. After nine seasons, the award-winning, historic theatre continues to establish its place as a world-class performing arts venue, acting as a catalyst for the economic development of downtown Worcester. The Hanover Theatre's recently acquired 551 Main Street houses new function space, offices, rental space for a restaurant on the GROUND FLOOR and The Hanover Theatre Conservatory for the Performing Arts on the lower level.

Worcester Center for Performing Arts, a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, owns and operates The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts and Conservatory. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
