Deadline reports that Kyra Sedgwick will team with 'New Adventures Of Old Christine' creator Kari Lizer on a half-hour single-camera comedy for HBO. 'The Closer' actress will star in the yet-to-be titled comedy penned by Lizer.

According to the report, the project will follow "Kate (Sedgwick) who was a nun in the order of the Sisters of Mercy, San Mateo Chapter, but disillusioned by a lifetime of service to the church and a marriage she no longer believes in, she has walked out on everything she's known since the age of 17. No longer "Sister Katherine," she's turned her back on her old life and now finds herself coming of age, trying to figure out who she is without her vows and what it means to be an ordinary woman. A person who believes in believing, she'll try to figure out what or whom she'll put her faith in now."

Sedgwick recently completed her seven year stint on TNT's The Closer, for which she received an Emmy Award.
