TVGuide.com reports exclusively that Broadway vet Kristin Chenoweth is heading to TV Land's new series KIRSTIE for a guest starring appearance. The actress will join Kristen Johnston, George Wendt and Cloris Leachman in guest spot appearances on the Broadway-themed sitcom.

The show centers around Broadway star Madison Banks (Kirstie Alley) whose life turns upside down when Arlo (Eric Petersen), the son she gave up at birth, suddenly appears, hoping to connect after his adoptive parents have died. Rhea Perlman ("Cheers") stars as Maddie's assistant and best friend alongside Richards ("Seinfeld") as Maddie's outlandish driver.

Chenoweth will take on the role of Britney Gold, described as "Maddie's conniving and ambitious snake of an understudy who will do anything - or anyone - to get onstage. And since the unsinkable Maddie never misses a performance, she'll leap at Maddie's offer to finally let her Go On in exchange for an unseemly favor."

Leachman will portray Shirley Kluszewski, Madison's "outspoken, hard-living, show business-hating mother who is estranged from her daughter."

As previously announced, the series will also host a Seinfeld reunion, featuring guest star Jason Alexander and 'Kirstie' cast member Michael Richards, who plays Maddie's driver on the show.

Kirstie debuts later this year on TV Land.

Chenoweth, most recently appeared on Broadway in Promises, Promises. Her other theater credits include Wicked and her Tony-winning turn in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Her TV credits include her Emmy-winning work on "Pushing Daisies" and a guest starring role on Glee.
