John Corbett Joins Cast of CBS Drama Pilot
EW.com reports that actor John Corbett has joined the cast of an upcoming CBS drama pilot scheduled for this fall. The project is from Carol Mendelsohn (CSI) and writer David Hubbard, as well as exec producers David Hubbard and Julie Weitz.
Corbett is set to portray the Widow Detective, described as "a decorated police detective who becomes a surrogate husband, lover and father to the families of partners who died in the line of duty."
Corbett starred in the 1990's series Northern Exposure and had a recurring role as Carrie Bradshaw's boyfriend, on Sex and the City which he reprised for the movie Sex and the City 2. He also played the leading male role opposite Nia Vardalos in Vardalos's hit film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002). His other TV credits include United States of Tara and the NBC dramedy Parenthood.
