IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY's Rob McElhenney No Longer Directing the MINECRAFT Movie

Rob McElhenney is no longer attached to direct Warner Bros' Minecraft movie, according to The Wrap.

Warner Bros has reached out to writing partners Aaron and Adam Nee to rewrite the screenplay. The previous script was written by McElhenney and Jason Fuchs.

The Minecraft movie is based on Markus "Notch" Persson's video game that encourages players to build blocky, immersive worlds.

The film is unlikely to make its previously scheduled May 24, 2019 release date.
