TVGuide.com reports that the FOX network has officially canceled its comedy series I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER and BREAKING IN.

The announcement was made concurrently with the news that the network has picked up three new single-camera comedies for its upcoming schedule, including It's Messy, Ben & Kate and The Goodwin Games.

Both freshman comedies were pulled from the FOX lineup for the remainder of the season this spring. I Hate My Teenage Daughter, starring Jaime Pressley and Katie Finneran was yanked in March, while Breaking In, starring Christian Slater and Megan Mullally, was pulled just a few weeks later in April. Breaking In was originally canceled by FOX last season but was given one last opportunity to prove itself this year.

The FOX comedies Raising Hope and New Girl still await news of their fate. Both shows pulled in weak ratings this season, averaging just under 3 million viewers.
