Director Silas Howard burst into the spotlight with his directorship on the previous season of Amazon's Transparent, and he'll be returning to the director's chair once again for the upcoming season, premiering September 23rd on Amazon. Howard directed episodes two and four and is credited as a consulting producer on the first four episodes. The first episode of the groundbreaking show will be screened at this year's Toronto Film Festival on September 11th, ahead of the premiere date. Howard will also be attending the 2016 Emmy Awards with the cast and crew of Transparent.

It's impossible to look away from Transparent, the first-of-its-kind Amazon series that has captivated millions of viewers; however, Silas Howard has been busy with countless other projects, including an upcoming MAC AIDS Fund campaign starring Caitlyn Jenner, ABC Family's The Fosters, and NBC's This Is Us. Howard directed episode seven of the anticipated new fall drama, which debuts on September 20th.

Television is a prime example of the new wave of inclusion, and as a trans man in a traditionally cis-male-dominated industry, Silas Howard is at the forefront of the movement. Says Howard, "Now is the golden age of television...TV looks more like all of us. It's made by all of us."
