Drea de Matteo Joins Film Adaptation of Gillian Flynn's DARK PLACES

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Drea de Matteo is the latest leading lady to join the film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's DARK PLACES.

In the film from Theron's Denver and Delilah Productions., Theron plays 'Libby Day,' a woman, who, after witnessing the murder of her family at the age of 7 and testifying against her brother, is approached 25 years later by the "Kill Club," a secret detective society hoping to discover details of the crime.

De Matteo will take on the role of "stripper Krissi Cates, a character who holds clues to a triple-homicide."

The actress, best known for her starring role on THE SOPRANOS, joins previously announced Chloe Grace Moritz, Nicholas Holtz, and Christina Hendricks.

DARK PLACES is currently shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana.

De Matteo has also appeared on FX's SONS OF ANARCHY, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and more. Her film credits include SWORDFISH, the remake of ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 among others. She can next be seen opposite Anna Paquin in FREE RIDERS.
